Phillip Chin is a professional photographer specializing in people photography. He is known for his easy going personality and ability to create a relaxed working environment. Chin is comfortable photographing high profile personalities, industrial mine workers to every day people. He works everywhere from Vancouver to Toronto for clients across Canada, the United States and abroad.
When Phil isn't working, he spends his time with his nephew Ethan. They enjoy playing lego, drawing, taking pictures and getting into trouble.
Chin revived an old photographic process from the 1890's called "wetplate collodion photography" aka "tintype" and "ambrotype" photography. Phil uses with old wooden 8x10 cameras from the 1800s and creates his own film from scratch to make images on metal and glass plates.
